Since 1920, Temple Israel of Alameda has been a place of worship, a center for community and an avenue for lifelong Jewish education. As we look to our future with joy and excitement, we also want to remember and celebrate the generations who came before us.
This milestone anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the incredible journey of Temple Israel, honor the generations who built and sustained our community, and rededicate ourselves to ensuring this community is here for at least another 105 years. Join us!
Join us as we celebrate 105 years through a series of events highlighted below. Something for everyone! We were unable to celebrate our centennial in 2020 so we’re making up for that lost time together. We welcome event sponsors and for people to submit memories and well wishes in our tribute book and photo exhibit. Together, we can create a memorable anniversary and build a lasting legacy for the next 105 years.

Tribute book
Everyone attending our Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, May 17, 2025, will receive a copy of the Tribute Book. The book will also be available at all additional celebratory events filling out the rest of 2025, plus in our lobby.
The book will be 5.5 inches wide and 8.5 inches long.
